Artist Statement

I am a local artist using a variety of styles predominantly in watercolour and acrylics. The acrylic paintings are generally in bright ,vibrant colours wheras the watercolours are more moody and atmospheric . I use references from the Derbyshire landscape and from the coast. Some of the work has an abstract or semi-abstract feeling including deconstructed landscapes. These deconstructed paintings present the landscape in a unique way by distorting the topography and bringing together different elements.
