Artist Statement

Our "Bloomin' Clever Boxes and "Vanishing Castles" are unique in the UK (as far as we know!)

The Boxes appeal on a number of levels. They are beautiful, tactile, useful, fun, and constructed in a very unusual way. The internal trays and drawers are, to say the least, intriguing.They are not, despite appearances, puzzle or trick boxes. They are designed to put things in, not keep people out.
The Vanishing Castles are just fun, although some folk also find them quite magical. With the flick of the wrist, an often rather boring block of wood is transformed into a fantastical castle. People either like them a lot or not at all. Marmite anybody?
We look forward to demonstrating and, hopefully, selling our work in Ruby's lovely garden.
