Artist Statement

Val is a member of the Textile House group of artists. Her work reflects her love of colour and pattern and uses both modern and traditional designs. She believes that textiles should be fit for everyday life and so her quilts, rugs and cushions are fully washable. She regularly teaches patchwork and quilting for The Patchworks and More in Chapel en le Frith.
