Location: Buxton   /  Genre: Needle-felting

Artist Statement

Lets go down the garden path, passing the honeysuckle and roses.
What awaits at the bottom is The Menagerie, my workshop...
Creator of needle-felted animals, flora and fauna, using age old traditional skills. Needle-felting is a process using a barbed needle to tangle fleece, to sculpt with wool.
Inspired by nature and my love of old vintage children books such as Beatrix Potter, Brambly Hedge and Wind in the Willows.
These books have a magical timeless feel about them, which I try to recreate in my work.
