Artist Statement

Hiya! I'm Tracey Anne, an Illustrator and thrifty collector from the beautiful village of Hayfield on the edge of the Peak District in England. I am the owner of Holly Cottage Studio at Bank Vale Artisans where my studio is located in a beautiful old Victorian Paper Mill in the heart of the village. I have a Degree in Design Studies specialising in Illustration. I have worked as a freelance Illustrator and Art and Design Lecturer for over 20 years. During my creative career, I have illustrated for Liberty, John Lewis, Paperchase, Oasis, plus a variety of children's book publishers. I now produce handmade gifts and home accessories using a variety of media including clay, print and textiles. I also deliver a range of creative workshops at Bank Vale Artisans and at other venues across the north west. My creative business is very much based around mindful practice. I hand make my gifts and I love to repurpose and collect old bits 'n bobs! My work should either make you smile or giggle! Where possible my products are sustainably produced and packaged. I supply retailers but you can also purchase my products from my online shop. No two products are ever the same! I hope my customers receive a happy boost on delivery!
