Artist Statement

Caroline is a multidisciplinary artist born in the West Midlands and now living and working in South Derbyshire. Her portfolio includes paintings and installations. Caroline’s current body of expressive abstract paintings are an autobiographical display of her desire to explore paint. Her works use shifting spaces that bounce between freedom and control. She is intrigued by how we perceive and emotional visual sensations. Caroline is excited by process, using not only brushes but many varied tools and mark making implements, powerful colours, texture and chiaroscuro to create atmosphere and emotion.
