Artist Statement

Roger Allen is a painter working in watercolour and oils. Usually working 'en plein air', his landscape work is based on close observation of the natural world and man's imprint upon it. He also produces still life, urban and industrial scenes and some more unusual narrative paintings.
Roger has exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, Royal Watercolour Society Open, Sunday Times Watercolour Exhibition and has paintings in the collections of Derbyshire and Northamptonshire County Councils.
