Artist Statement

My work focuses on a love of trees and their surroundings, using paint made from the local environment, rocks and plants, to create portraits of some of our local veteran trees. I am influenced by myths and folklore so many of my pieces have a slightly ethereal yet powerful quality to them as I attempt to show how I see the tree and its energy. My practice focuses on reusing, recycling and use of more eco friendly products, working with nature to celebrate nature.
