Artist Statement

I have been painting since the 60's and paint in both watercolour and oils. I enjoy painting outside when possible and always paint scenes that I have experienced myself. I try to concentrate on the atmosphere of a place or that special moment. I am often drawn by light. I enjoy painting in all seasons and paint and experiment with different colour choices.
I am a Member of the Society of Women Artists and a Member of the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists. I am President of the Matlock Artists Society and give workshops and demonstrations to societies throughout the country.
